Welcome. I am Professor of Mathematics in the Mathematics Institute at the University of Warwick, UK.
My research lies in applied and computational partial differential equations. Together with my research team and collaborators, I develop mathematical models, analytical techniques, numerical methods and optimal-control approaches, with particular interests in socio-economic systems and computational finance.
Our main research areas include:
- Kinetic and mean-field models for interacting-agent systems, including wealth distribution and opinion formation;
- Structure-preserving numerical methods for nonlinear partial differential equations, particularly equations with Wasserstein gradient-flow structures;
- High-order numerical methods, including compact finite-difference and dimensional-splitting methods;
- Higher-order nonlinear partial differential equations and their applications;
- Optimal control of partial differential equations; and
- Computational finance, including models for pricing financial derivatives.

I joined Warwick in 2020. From July 2022 to September 2025, I served as Director of Graduate Studies in Mathematics and Director of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Mathematics. Since October 2025, I have served as REF Outputs Lead for Applied Mathematics.
Before coming to Warwick, I held academic positions at the University of Sussex, TU Wien and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. I studied at TU Berlin and completed my PhD at Mainz.
I am associate editor for Kinetic and Related Models and the International Journal of Computer Mathematics.
